April 28, 2011 - Governor LePage and American Bureau of Shipping Announce New Jobs to Midcoast Region - Maine Governor Paul LePage, members of the Maine Congressional Delegation and the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA) announced today that the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) plans to establish a computer-based ship modeling center at Brunswick Landing: Maine’s Center for Innovation. It is with great pleasure that I announce yet another milestone in the redevelopment of Naval Air Station Brunswick (NASB) - the Grand Opening of the Brunswick Executive Airport (BXM) on Saturday, April 2. The Grand Opening celebration will begin with the first official landing of civilian aircraft on the runways at 1:00 pm. The celebration will continue in Hangar 6 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and comments from federal, state and local officials. With offices and manufacturing plants in many countries, including a subsidiary in Wiscasset, Maine, Mölnlycke Health Care is investigating the opportunity to add a wound care manufacturing facility at Brunswick Landing and is working with MRRA on appropriate State and local permit applications and project financing. 'Topsham Commerce Park' New Civilian Name for Topsham Annex The Topsham Annex will be doing business as the Topsham Commerce Park. The new name was adopted by the Topsham Board of Selectmen on August 19. Topsham's vision is to connect the Topsham Commerce Park to the rest of the community. The vision includes a mix of office, commercial, retail, light industrial uses as well as residential, community and civic uses.
NASB Lands a New Civilian Name The redeveloped Naval Air Station Brunswick will have a new name! We are proud to introduce you to the Brunswick Landing: Maine's Center for Innovation. The new civilian name for the Brunswick property was announced at the March meeting of the MRRA Board of Trustees.
